Reiki

reikiReiki means ‘universal life energy’ in Japanese and is a natural technique for stress reduction and relaxation that promotes healing. Are you constantly feeling low energy? Do you need to re-connect to a more positive side of yourself? Are you trying to get rid of negative energy? Are you ready for healing? If you answered yes to these questions then REIKI is for you.

Reiki is based on the principle that illness is caused by a disruption in the body’s energy field or life force.  By channelling energy, it is believed that the body can be filled with positive energy causing the disease-presenting negative energy to release.  Reiki is not the removal of symptoms; it is about releasing the cause of illness to bring the body back to a state of alignment and health.  It connects to the spiritual element within us, our life-force energy, and is administered by ‘laying-on of hands’ in different positions on the body.  It is a non-invasive treatment.  Energy fields in the body have different vibratory levels and reiki practitioners use their hands to affect and hopefully rebalance these vibrations in the negatively affected part of the body.  The Client remains fully clothed for the duration of the treatment which is carried out sitting in a comfortable chair or lying on a bed.  No medical diagnosis, prognosis or health recommendations are offered during treatments because we are dealing with energy healing.

Reiki brings you in touch with your emotions which is part of the detoxing and healing process.  Plenty of water should be drunk after a treatment and throughout the day.  A Reiki treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you, and treats the whole person, including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and well-being.

My vision is to inspire people to grow and heal from within, enabling them to live enriched and healthy lives.
